Dances. We dance:
Raqs Sharki This means "Dance of the
East". It refers to the classical bellydance from Egypt.
Let yourself be abducted to the world of One Thousand and One
Nights!
Dance with the
veil
The veil asks for soft and gentle handling.
It floats and spins through the air and draws beautiful figures
when guided by the arm and the hand of a skilled dancer.
Drum solo
The time to show off! Interpreting the sounds
of the darbouka or tabla (drum), the hip shimmies and the belly
vibrates. This groovy dance usually is the hightlight of every
performance.
Arabic Pop
Raqs sharki goes modern. This upbeat and modern
version of classical bellydance is usually danced to a current
hit from the Orient.
With zills/
finger cymbals
To know the rhythms is an absolut must! With
her zills (tiny metal disks) the dancer interprets the music
and sets her own accents.
Dance
with the cane /
Raqs Assaya
The cane can be used for traditional saiidi
as well as for modern pieces. It originates from the south of
Egypt (Assuan and Luxor) and imitated a stick fight among men
(Tahteeb). This dance was adapted by the women who handle the
stick more playfully. The costume is a neck-to-foot, close-fitting
garb with wide trumpet sleeves.
Arabic Flamenco
Spain meets Arabia. A dazzling fusion
of the proud Spaniard with the flirtatious bellydancer.
Isis Wings
Dance with the wide wings of the goddess Isis.
These pleated veils bestow a dreamlike quality on every dance.
Dance with the
featherfan
A fantasy dance with featherfans, inspired by
Egyptian dancers from the first half of the twentieth century.

A mystic and mysterious fantasy dance for all
those who love to play with the fire...
Gypsy dance
The fierce gypsy woman captured in the heat of
the moment. Very expressive and passionate.
Khaleegy
This dance originates from the gulf region. Also
known as "hair dance", this group dance is performed
in wide, colorful and sumptuously embroidered garments.
Melaya Leff
A very coquettish dance from Alexandria.
The melaya is a black cloth decorated with golden or silvery
and crocket work. The women use the melaya to seek protection
from looks of strangers - but only just a little bit. Beneath
the melaya they wear short, daring dresses with frills and high
heels.
Tribal Fusion
Originating from archaic tribal dances with a
dash of modern dance and a sprinkle of indian temple dance.

Dance with the
sword
The dance with the sabre is amazonlike and dramatic.
Raks Shamadan
The Shamadan is a chandelier which is carried
on the head. Traditionally danced at weddings.
